Image

Dictionaries can be the most valuable resource you make. It often becomes THE reference publication from which all speakers and learners will draw upon.

Miromaa Community Dictionary Maker (MCDM)

Have you uploaded some language text into your Miromaa software? If so, you can instantly create your own dictionary through the Miromaa Community Dictionary Maker (MCDM). This gem of a feature is already in your Miromaa software. It only takes a few clicks to print-out a high-quality user-friendly dictionary – all by yourself, straight from your Miromaa database via our basic dictionary template set up for you.

Made a mistake or found a new word?

Want to reprint for any reason? No problem. Just a few clicks and it's re-created right in Miromaa.

The Miromaa Community Dictionary Maker has many features including; customisable title page, header references, 'category dictionaries', and more.

FEATURES

MCDM features include:

  • Create dictionaries based on categories (e.g: wildlife, body parts, plants)
  • Customisable title page
  • Alphabetical section headings
  • Page headers based upon first and last entry on each page
  • Two columns of entries
  • Page numbers

CUSTOMISATION

Yes, you have our easy template. But you also have full control to edit our template and customise the dictionary to your language's needs – including:

  • content information
  • fields
  • whether field titles will appear
  • formatting by using the prefix/suffix feature
  • changing the sort order of entry fields

DOCUMENT FORMAT

MCDM will save your dictionary in the .RTF (Rich Text File) format which can then be opened by Microsoft (MS) Word. In Word, you can easily edit your content and change styles using Word’s ‘styles pane’, as you would with any Word document. When finished, you can save as PDF and share it electronically. Even distribute it as an eBook. Or print out a paper copy via your printer and share it that way.
